"Rite. Marriage to Ekaterinburg"
“Zer Gut” art group (Evgeny Goltsov, Vladimir Seleznyov, Ivan Snigirev), Performance, photo, 2002

Imitation of traditional wedding trip on memorable places of the city. The members of "Zer Gut" group, having moved from Nizhny Tagil to Ekaterinburg in August 2002, decided to make their relationship with the new city a public holiday - a wedding. During the festival "A_REAL 001. Art in Public Spaces" festival, they put on wedding dresses and travelled around Ekaterinburg in a wedding limousine from monument to monument, laying flowers and taking photos at each memorial. Using the form of a wedding ritual, playing the role of brides in a city "with a masculine character", they jokingly played the story of personal and fateful relationships between a person and the place in which he lives.
