"Realism." Zer Gut

The possibility of creating one's own reality, visually identical to real life," is what, according to the artists, interests them most of all in these works. The participants of the group declaratively borrow the method of work of the 19th century realist painters. Standing on the balcony of their house and looking at passers-by and the landscape of the outskirts of the city, the artists filmed with a video camera the entertaining and ordinary events that took place on Starykh Bolshevikov Street in Ekaterinburg on a May day.

This objectified video recording became the source material for the creation of several works, equally addressing both the actualisation of social relations and the problems of artistic method.
